Wait, What…INTERVALS are Looking for a New Singer?

by | Nov 25, 2014

A year after former The HAARP Machine (and Raunchy) vocalist Mike Semesky joned the band, Intervals have parted ways with the singer. If you remember, the band initially started out as an instrumental group, brought Semesky in to play bass, and then moved him over to the mic when they decided to add vocals to the mix. And now they’re looking for a replacement.

Earlier this year the band put out their debut record A Voice Within, which featured Semesky. We thought it was a pretty rad album. But we know, shit does happen with bands.

[W]e have reached a fork in the road that is this journey, and have come to an amicable parting of ways. We wish Mike the best in future endeavours and beyond.

Those of you who preferred the band as an instrumental entity, don’t get your hopes up. The group are on the hunt for a new singer.

We are seeking a charismatic and talented front man who is willing to dedicate themselves to Intervals. We are in search of someone with a natural talent for the craft of singing, and the ability to confidently front our band. Additional traits, such as the ability to scream are an added bonus, however we are focusing on the fidelity of your natural singing voice.

Think you got what it takes? The band is requiring you record your vocals to the instrumental versions of “Moment Marauder” or “Ephemeral,” which you can download directly at this link. Send this along with video of your performance to intervalsauditions@gmail.com.

And because we can, here’s a stream of A Voice Within in its entirety.
