Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are offering a free six-song sampler of tracks from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo soundtrack, now due digitally on December 9th and on CD December 27th. The sampler can be downloaded at Nullco.com.

Reznor and Ross' cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" with Karen O (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) is streaming below.

The forthcoming soundtrack for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, featuring a score done by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, will be released on December 5th internationally via Mute Records and in North America through The Null Corporation.

In addition to scoring David Fincher's upcoming film The Girl WIth the Dragon Tattoo, Trent Reznor will be moving forward with a new How To Destroy Angels effort, and has plans to focus on Nine Inch Nails.

"[Atticus Ross and I] have been working since last summer on it and are due to mix it this summer for a fall release," Reznor comments on the How To Destroy Angels project. "We've spent a lot of time experimenting and finding our own sound and identity this time around and we're very happy with the results. The three columns of things I'm currently funneling music into - HTDA, NIN and film work - I believe will start to make more sense to you (and me) as everything unfolds. By having a few different outlets for my work I'm finding more inspiration within each one. No, Nine Inch Nails is not dead and I plan to focus on that next."

Billboard reports that Trent Reznor has finished tracking a new How To Destroy Angels effort, a project featuring Reznor, his wife Mariqueen Maandig, and Atticus Ross. A fall release is expected.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will again team up with David Fincher to score his upcoming film, a remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

According to a New York Times live Times Talks interview, Reznor revealed that he and Ross have been working on the score the past two months. The film is tentatively scheduled for release later in the year on December 21.
