Deafheaven will enter the studio in January to begin work on their next album.

Set to record from January 21st through January 26th with producer Jack Shirley, who worked on the band's debut record Roads to Judah, the group's sophomore effort is titled Sunbather

Vocalist George Clarke commented, "For this record, we had a couple options with who to record with, but after a lot of thought, agreed that to capture our best performance at our most comfortable state, the best choice was Jack. He's always done a great job and we've grown a lot together in the last two years."

The record is due in spring through Deathwish.

Deafheaven's cover of Mogwai's "Punk Rock/Cody," the opening tracks off Come on Die Young, has premiered online.

Listen on Pitchfork.

The band's forthcoming split 7-inch with Bosse-de-Nage comes out November 20th via Flenser Records. Pre-orders are available here.

Deafheaven have plans to cover Mogwai for an upcoming release.

The band will record their version of "Punk Rock/Cody" for an upcoming split with Bosse-de-Nage, due out later this year via Flenser Records.

Deafheaven's 2010 Demo will be released on vinyl in October via Sargent House.

The 12-inch, remastered recording is set to ship on or around October 1st; pre-order information can be found here.

The band announced in July that they are currently writing material for their next album, due out through Deathwish.
