Palms (Deftones, ex-Isis) have been tapped to support System Of A Down at their Los Angeles show in July.

The show will take place at the Hollywood Bowl on July 29th.

††† (Crosses) have been in the studio since early this month working on new material, presumably a follow-up release to 2012's EP ††.

The band likes to stay mysterious and constantly tease new material -- last night they posted an interesting video on Vine.

So far there's no word on when a new release is expected.

Deftones' scrapped 2008 album Eros -- the one they were recording with late bassist Chi Cheng prior to his accident -- may actually see the light of day.

In an interview with Artisan News found below, frontman Chino Moreno said he could see Eros being released "more so now probably than ever."

Moreno said he went back and listened to the recordings recently, and that it's "a little more appropriate now for us to think about [releasing the record]."
