Kvelertak, Toxic Holocaust, Doomriders, and The Secret have announced a string of European dates in early November. The shows lead up to Kvelertak's run with Toxic Holocaust, Trap Them, and Wolves Like Us. Dates follow:

Doomriders have announced Q, formerly of the band Clouds, as their new drummer, following the departure of JR Conners (Cave In) in August. The band comments:

"We are proud and excited to announce that we have filled the drum throne with none other than our good friend Q. Some of you may know him from his kick ass drumming in the great but now defunct Clouds. He's a perfect fit and we couldn't be more happy! Come see his first show with us February 5th at Ralph's in Worcester!!!!"

Doomriders announced that drummer JR Conners has left the band to focus on Cave In and his family life. Ben Koller (Converge, Acid Tiger) will be filling in for the time being.

Additionally, the band will perform with Sleep on September 6 at the Brooklyn Masonic Lodge in Brooklyn, NY with Unearthly Trance.

When Nate Newton is not on tour playing bass for Converge, he lends his guitar and vocal skills to Doomriders, a metal band that has released two full length albums and a handful of splits – they’ve even played a few shows with Danzig.

There are no goals or expectations with the band. Newton, Chris Pupecki (Cast Iron Hike), JR Conners (Cave In), Jebb Riley (Disappearer) are just friends in a band playing music. And these friends go many years back.

I sat down with Nate Newton to discuss his Converge offshoot. He begins the interview by explaining how he met Chris Pupecki…
