Trent Reznor has been speaking out against the recently released reissue of Nine Inch Nails' debut album, Pretty Hate Machine.

"NIN fans, don't waste your money on this version of PHM that was just released," Reznor commented via Twitter, adding that the release is "a record label bullshit move repackaging the old version. Ignore please."

Nine Inch Nails will release an original master reissue of its debut album Pretty Hate Machine on July 12th via The Null Corporation.

The offering follows last November's remastered reissue, and will be available on both CD and vinyl.

In addition to scoring David Fincher's upcoming film The Girl WIth the Dragon Tattoo, Trent Reznor will be moving forward with a new How To Destroy Angels effort, and has plans to focus on Nine Inch Nails.

"[Atticus Ross and I] have been working since last summer on it and are due to mix it this summer for a fall release," Reznor comments on the How To Destroy Angels project. "We've spent a lot of time experimenting and finding our own sound and identity this time around and we're very happy with the results. The three columns of things I'm currently funneling music into - HTDA, NIN and film work - I believe will start to make more sense to you (and me) as everything unfolds. By having a few different outlets for my work I'm finding more inspiration within each one. No, Nine Inch Nails is not dead and I plan to focus on that next."

Nine Inch Nails will reissue their 1989 debut record, Pretty Hate Machine, on November 22. The release will include remastered versions of the original song mixes, and will be packaged with reinterpreted artwork.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that HBO and BBC Worldwide Productions are moving forward with developing a miniseries of Nine Inch Nails' album "Year Zero".

"We are in [the development phase of] pre-production with HBO and BBC [Worldwide Productions] to do a miniseries," Trent Reznor told the L.A. Times. "It’s exciting. I probably shouldn’t say too much about it except that I understand that there’s a thousand hurdles before anything shows up in your TV listing. It’s been an interesting and very educational process and it cleared the HBO hurdle a few months ago and now we’re writing drafts back and forth. So it’s very much alive and incubating at the moment."

Reznor is working with the team of Lawrence Bender, known for producing the Quentin Tarantino films "Pulp Fiction", "Inglourious Basterds", and "Reservoir Dogs", and Kevin Kelly Brown, who was executive producer on "Roswell".

Trent Reznor recently spoke out about his new project How to Destroy Angels, answering fan questions via Facebook.

He also assured fans that NIN was still alive, stating that "NIN is not dead and I am about to work on some material that I believe will be quite different than previous NIN very soon."

How to Destroy Angels will release a six-song EP this summer. A release date is to be announced.
