The Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato has revealed that more progress has been made on the new collaborative project with Soulfly vocalist Max Cavalera.

Puciato commented on Facebook, "Not a bad week. Wrapped up three days of writing w/ Cavalera and [David] Elitch (ex-The Mars Volta) today, new DEP is slowly taking shape, and Weinman and I whipped up a surprise LA show with about five minutes of planning. Possibly the easiest show we've ever booked, and it'll definitely be one of the craziest."

Soulfly's upcoming eighth studio album, Enslaved, will see its release on March 13th via Roadrunner.

Soulfly's 15th annual D-Low Memorial will take place on December 30th in Tempe, Arizona at Marquee Theatre with Incite and Lody Kong.

The D-Low show is held every year in memory of Max Cavalera's stepson, Dana Wells, who was killed in a car accident in 1996.

Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera has plans to release an autobiography next year, according to an interview with 107.7 The Bone, found below.

Cavalera will team up with rock author Joel McIver, who has written Justice For All: The Truth About Metallica, Unleashed: The Story of Tool, The Bloody Reign of Slayer, amongst others. The book will include a foreword written by Dave Grohl

DevilDriver vocalist Dez Fafara recently recorded guest vocals for a new Soulfly track, set to appear on the band's forthcoming album, due in early 2012 via Roadrunner.

Attika 7, featuring Evan Seinfeld (ex-Biohazard), bassist Tony Campos (Static X, Soulfly, Prong), and drummer Dustin Schoenhofer (Walls of Jericho, Bury Your Dead), will release their debut album in the coming months.

The band is currently at work on a music video for the single "Serial Killer," which can be streamed on Facebook.

Soulfly is at work on a new album with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Hatebreed, The Acacia Strain), due in early 2012 through Roadrunner.

The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato and Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera have tracked four new demos for their collaborative project.

"Cruising back from MC’s place trying to make my flight home," Puciato commented on his website. "This is currently DIMED in the stereo, and makes me wish we had a machine gun mounted on the roof of the truck."
