Dave Grohl has signed on as the executive producer for a new half-hour comedy for FX starring comedian Dana Gould.

Gould is writing the sitcom, which is based around a rock band on the verge of stardom who finds itself on the verge of breaking up and is forced to seek professional help in attempt to stay together. They end up with a misanthropic couple's therapist from Agoura on the brink of divorce.

Gould approached Grohl about joining the project based on his reputation of being one of the funniest rock musicians.

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor and Dave Grohl recently collaborated on a song with producer Butch Vig (Nirvana). Further details have yet to be revealed.

Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures) and collaborator Alain Johannes have written a theme song for Aqua Teen Hunger Force, soon changing its title to Aqua Unit Patrol Squad One. Stream below.

Eagles of Death Metal bassist Brian O'Connor has been diagnosed with cancer -- he will undergo surgery today and will begin chemotherapy in three weeks.

Them Crooked Vultures announced a benefit show in London, UK on July 5 at Brixton Academy to raise money for O'Connor's medical expenses. A Los Angeles show is currently being planned and will be announced soon.

O'Connor has no health insurance -- those interested in contributing to his medical care fund can do so here.

Eagles of Death Metal will continue with their touring schedule as planned.

Josh Homme (Them Crooked Vultures, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal) has a record label called Rekords Rekords -- they just formed a partnership with Dangerbird Records.

In related news, Queens Of The Stone Age will be reissuing their 2000 album, "Rated R", with bonus tracks sometime this summer. More details to come.
