THE STORY

I began conducting interviews with rock bands in 2007 living homeless in Hollywood. What started with a stolen $20 audio recorder and posting interviews from internet cafes has gradually evolved into what this website is today: a resource for music news and insight into the minds of creative individuals that make the world of rock, metal, and hardcore go round.

I'm Ryan Minic. I was raised on a farm in Ohio, I quit college to tour in a band, and ended up broke in LA living at LAX and the Greyhound station. When I was a kid I was involved in a near-fatal accident. I've used a walker my entire life.

Ryan's Rock Show is a daily resource for music news and candid video interviews covering the most relevant bands in the rock music community. Our goal is to explore the philosophies and techniques that have led each artist to their current level of success. We're not trying to inflate fictitious personalities or any of that "rockstar" bullshit. We're here to show you how it really is, introduce you to new music, and keep you updated on bands that create the soundtracks of your life.

Our news section is up-to-the-minute with tour dates, new music, current happenings, and isn't polluted with internet trolls.

The interviews section includes dozens of hours of conversations with some of the most influential rock musicians in the world, to bands struggling to stay afloat in an ever-changing music climate.

We hope Ryan's Rock Show offers a more organic perspective on the music community than what's presented in other websites or blogs. More importantly, we hope our interviews can allow you to look at your own life through a different lens. Whether you're a student, work at your local mall, wait at a restaurant, work on cars, type endlessly in an office, collect unemployment, tour in a band, or just play video games and smoke weed all day -- perhaps you'll be able to find some of yourself in these conversations.
