So this is really awesome. Back in the day when Dave Grohl was a kid growing up in Springfield, Virginia, he was a huge fan of Ian MacKaye (Fugazi), who at the time was playing in the DC area band Minor Threat. He was so much of a fan to where he wrote a letter to Ian asking if he could get “some numbers or people to get in touch with.”
You may have heard about this band Teenage Time Killers. It’s a group that features Mike Dean and Reed Mullin of Corrosion of Conformity, and they’ve just inked a deal with Rise Records. What’s really cool is that they recorded the instrumental parts of their forthcoming album at Dave Grohl’s 606 studio in Northridge, CA.

Dave Grohl has signed on as the executive producer for a new half-hour comedy for FX starring comedian Dana Gould.
Gould is writing the sitcom, which is based around a rock band on the verge of stardom who finds itself on the verge of breaking up and is forced to seek professional help in attempt to stay together. They end up with a misanthropic couple’s therapist from Agoura on the brink of divorce.
Gould approached Grohl about joining the project based on his reputation of being one of the funniest rock musicians.
