One Day As A Lion drummer Jon Theodore (ex-The Mars Volta) has joined Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, a project featuring The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman, Mastodon guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds, and ex-Jane’s Addiction bassist Eric Avery.
Despite previous reports, former The Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen is not in the band.

The shows will be held in Pomona, CA on July 17 and Los Angeles, CA on July 18 at undisclosed locations. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 14 at 12:00PM PT and will be available via Will Call only. All ticket holders will be emailed the venue information at 8:00AM PT day of the show.
