The Dillinger Escape Plan/Soulfly Collaboration: 16 Demos Recorded

The Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato has revealed that he and Soulfly vocalist Max Cavalera have written 16 demos for their upcoming collaboration.

Puciato added that more progress will be made on the project following The Dillinger Escape Plan’s August European tour.

The Dillinger Escape Plan to Write New Material, North American/European Tours Planned

The Dillinger Escape Plan have checked in with an update on their plans for the remainder of the year.

While dates are to be announced, the group will embark on a European stint in August, and an extensive North American trek from October through December.

Additionally, the band will begin work on demoing new material for a future release, before and after its upcoming tours.

Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds is at work on a currently untitled project with The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman, former Jane’s Addiction bassist Eric Avery, and former The Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen.

“We tried to get together and do an album, but there’s been no time,” Hinds told Noisecreep. “We want to record crazy stuff and Ben is working on that, but it’s been hard to get together.”
