Former Unearth Bassist Dies

Former Unearth bassist Chris “Rover” Rybicki passed away yesterday from injuries after getting hit by an alleged drunk driver while riding a scooter.

According to The Salem News, Rybicki, 39, was riding a scooter when it collided with a 2008 Volkswagen Passat driven by Beth MacGillivary, 25.

MacGillivary failed two field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of .17, more than twice the legal limit.

Rybicki was a member of Unearth from 1998 to 2002.
