A Fan Dies at Miss May I’s Show in New York City

by | May 5, 2014

This is really sad — a fan tragically died at Miss May I’s show in New York City on Saturday. Alberto Scott, who was 21, collapsed after exiting the Studio at Webster Hall and passed away shortly after.

Numerous blogs are reporting that Scott died after stage diving, but police have since confirmed that he died after leaving the venue. So far no further details have been released, but the band did comment on the incident:

We were deeply shocked and saddened to hear this news. We are awaiting a full report from the New York Police Department. In the meantime, we’d ask that all your thoughts and prayers be with his family.

A website has been launched to raise money for Scott’s funeral. You can find that here.
