Interscope Records L.A. Offices Used by Narcotics Ring to Ship Drugs & Cash

by | Sep 16, 2011

Federal investigators have learned that Interscope Records’ Los Angeles offices were used by members of a narcotics ring as pickup and delivery points to ship large amounts of cocaine and cash cross-country in music road cases, reports The Smoking Gun.

Following a year-long Drug Enforcement Administration investigation, rap manager James Rosemond, whose biggest client is rapper The Game, has been indicted on 18 felony charges, facing up to life in prison.

Investigators gave defense lawyers shipping records of a cargo firm this week, who would transport road cases packed with kilos of cocaine and an estimate $1 million in cash across the United States.

The Smoking Gun also reports that while it is unclear how members of the narcotics ring gained access to Interscope’s offices, a tour manager for The Game has been implicated in the bicoastal trafficking ring.

In June, Rosemond was accused of orchestrating a 1994 attack on Tupac Shakur, which led to the rapper’s death.
