Nine Inch Nails: New Material in ‘Gestation Period’

by | Jul 11, 2012

Trent Reznor has been working on a number of projects as of late, including new Nine Inch Nails material.

“Right now, it’s in its gestation period,” he told USA Today.

Reznor has also signed on to create the soundtrack for the upcoming video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II, out November 13th.

“There is a lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface,” Reznor says of the video game. “So it didn’t make sense to have a gung-ho patriotic feeling kind of theme song. It has to feel weighty.”

As previously reported, How to Destroy Angels, the band with his wife Mariqueen Maandiq and Atticus Ross, have finished work on their full-length album. The effort is expected out later this year.
