Fugazi Edits: Charity Album Made with Fugazi Samples Due in October

An album of instrumental tracks using samples from Fugazi’s catalog, titled Fugazi Edits, will be released in October.

Out October 30th via Case/Martingale Records, the effort, done by Chris Lawhorn, features 22 tracks pieced together using excerpts from every song in Fugazi’s discography.

Profit from the release, which has been authorized by Ian MacKaye, will be donated to a pair of charities — one that works with senior citizens in Washington, D.C. and another that provides aid globally to folks impacted by disaster and civil unrest.

The album will be limited to 1,000 copies and will be followed by a digital release via iTunes, Amazon, and other retail outlets. Samples and further information can be found here.
