Shai Hulud Looking for Vocalist: Holding Auditions for New Frontman

by | Oct 7, 2012

Shai Hulud are on the hunt for a new vocalist, and are holding public auditions to find a new frontman.

“We are indeed searching for a front-person to lead the band on stage,” the group stated. “Not only to effectively scream, also to actively feel and channel the various emotions of our words and music through voice, intense physical presence, and visceral interaction during and in-between the songs. Any band truly rooted in Hardcore requires its members to serve as conduits, not just players. We scream rather than sing for this very reason.”

A zip file of instrumental versions of tracks can be downloaded directly here. Those interested in trying out for the band should record their vocals with the original lyrics over the songs.

“The vocal approach we think fits our music perfectly is ‘come as you are,’ simply, natural and angry. Your nationality, gender, and sexual preference are of no consequence to us.”

While the band prefers auditionees to be 25 or older, “exceptions are happily made based on your maturity, ability, and commitment.”
