Machine Head Cancel Shows; Robb Flynn to Undergo Emergency Surgery

by | Nov 14, 2012

Machine Head have been forced to drop off nine shows on their current North American tour with Dethklok and The Black Dahlia Murder — frontman Robb Flynn must undergo emergency surgery.

“I’ve been toughing out an inguinal hernia below my waistline since June of last year, and a few months ago got a second hernia in my nuts,” Flynn said. “What basically happens is my guts drop into my nuts, and it looks like I have a third testicle (man, I can hear the jokes already!). He added, “Yesterday, the pain was excruciating and I went to the emergency room last night. They said that I need surgery.”

Flynn will have surgery on Wednesday in Minneapolis and will then return home to California to recover.

Machine Head is expected to rejoin the tour in Portland on November 24th.

The Chariot Interview on Ryan’s Rock Show

Interview with Former Glassjaw Guitarist Todd Weinstock: Social Security, Afrobots, & GJ

I was listening to Glassjaw’s Worship and Tribute album a few weeks back, and thought to myself: what’s former guitarist Todd Weinstock been up to lately? Weinstock — who had been a member of Glassjaw from 1996 to 2004, and appeared on all releases from the...
