The Ocean Set April Release Date for New Album

by | Dec 11, 2012

The Ocean have set an April release date for their new, currently untitled album.

To be released in two versions (instrumental and with vocals), the record will be released on April 29th in Europe and April 30th in North America via Metal Blade Records.

Robin Staps stated, “The album was originally written to be instrumental, but in the end me and Loic couldn’t help but try out a few things vocalwise and we soon got pretty excited… so there will be vocals on the album; however, we want everyone to have both versions, and we are also planning to perform the album live that way – with and without vocals.”

The band is currently planning a spring European trek with Cult of Luna in support of the effort.

Additionally, the group’s forthcoming Collective Oblivion DVD has been pushed back to a late 2013 release.
