For Today Part Ways with Guitarist Mike Reynolds Amidst Outrage Caused by Anti-Gay Comments

Amidst outrage from guitarist Mike Reynolds’ homophobic tweets this week, For Today announced they have parted way with Reynolds.

“Mike Reynolds is no longer a part of For Today,” the band said in a statement. “He has decided that now is the time for he and his wife to put their plans in motion to enroll in bible college, and to begin working toward full-time missions work in the Middle East.”

Reynolds has been replaced by former In The Midst of Lions guitarist Sam Penner.

Additionally, frontman Mattie Montgomery addressed the anti-gay comments in the video below.
