Goodtime Boys are Readying their New Album “Rain”

by | Jan 13, 2014

April showers bring May flowers. But for UK’s Goodtime Boys this May is going to be a month of Rain.

Their first full-length album will hit streets on May 20th via Bridge Nine Records.  The effort was recorded by Lewis Johns (new member of GTB) at The Ranch in Southampton and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side.

But before the Rain comes they’ll be releasing a 7″ on February 25th titled Things I Still Don’t Understand, which will serve as a precursor to the record.  It’s a two-song EP that include the track “Life Moves” (off the upcoming album) as well as a cover of Billy Bragg’s “Tank Park Salute.”

If you’re looking to let the good times roll, they’ll be heading out in Europe later this week with Defeater and Caspian.

Deafheaven Interview: George Clarke & Kerry McCoy on their Success & The World of Blogging

It’s hard to imagine that Deafheaven’s success all spawned off the release of their 2010 demo. Even frontman George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy are among the disbelievers, especially since they recorded the four-track effort out of boredom. Since...
