Kimono Kult: Omar Rodriguez-Lopez & John Frusciante Start a New Band

When we did that interview with Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, it was right around the time Bosnian Rainbows started going full force.

As you know, the former Mars Volta guitarist doesn’t stay in one place for too long. He recently started a new project with former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante — they’re called Kimono Kult.

You know who else is in the band? Rodriguez-Lopez’ partner in crime Teri Gender Bender.  You know her from Bosnian Rainbows and Le Butcherettes (remember that interview?).

Anyway, their debut EP, Hiding In The Light, is slated for release on March 4th. No songs have surfaced online yet, but pre-orders can be found on Bandcamp.
