Asking Alexandria to Cover NIN, The Ghost Inside to Cover P.O.D, & Memphis May Fire to Cover STP for “Punk Goes 90s”

by | Feb 5, 2014

Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce told us how much he loved Charlie Sheen when we interviewed the band in 2011. “I just want to party with him. I wish he’d call me and say ‘hey, come to my house tonight, and let’s go crazy.’” Who wouldn’t want to party with Charlie?

And while AA may not have gotten that call from Sheen, that’s not stopping the band from wanting to fuck you like an animal. Quite literally. They’ll be covering the Nine Inch Nails hit song “Closer” for the upcoming Punk Goes 90s Vol. 2 compilation that’s coming out this spring.

The compilation will see a number of bands doing renditions of songs we all know from when we were kids. The Ghost Inside will tackle P.O.D.’s “Southtown,” Memphis May Fire will do a cover Stone Temple Pilots’ “Interstate Love Song,” The Color Morale will do Foo Fighters’ “Everlong,” and Ice Nine Kills will handle Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).”

Punk Goes 90s Vol. 2 comes out on April 1st through Fearless Records.
