Rise Records’ Owner Has a Band Called Defeat The Low

Are you familiar with Portland’s Defeat The Low? They have a self-proclaimed DIY ethos and they draw influences from bands like Glassjaw, Sunny Day Real Estate, Texas Is The Reason, and Deftones. Intriguing?

The band features Rise Records owner Craig Ericson on rhythm guitar — so it shouldn’t be too much of a shocker that the label will be releasing their debut album sometime this year. There are some touring plans in the works, but so far nothing has been revealed. We’ll keep you posted on more.
