It’s True, Geoff Rickly is in a Band with Ex-Members of Lostprophets, NO DEVOTION

by | Jun 30, 2014

The other month we mentioned how former Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly was working with the remaining members of Lostprophets. At first we were under the impression that his newly formed label Collect Records would just be releasing the material, but then rumors started swirling that Rickly was in the band. “I want to be a part of their second chance,” he said in a recent podcast.

Turns out, all of this is true. Rickly has formed a new band with Lee Gaze, Mike Lewis, Jamie Oliver, Stuart Richardson, and Luke Johnson — they’re called No Devotion.

People don’t really think of what happens to the other members, but [the situation with Ian Watkins] took away their life. They had to give up their career and everything they had worked for 15-17 years.

No Devotion will release a 12-inch single, “Stay,” on July 21st. Pre-orders can be found here. They’re also doing a string of debut shows in the UK in July.

Here’s the song, and as always, dates are below.

No Devotion tour dates:

Jul 22 Cardiff, UK @ CF10
Jul 23 Manchester, UK @ Sound Control
Jul 25 London, UK @ Islington Academy
Jul 26 Glasgow ABC

Zechs Marquise: The Ryan’s Rock Show Interview

Back when I was a wee lad, 15 or so, At The Drive-In was by far my favorite band ever. Even today their music is on my top all-time list of kick ass bands next to groups like Fugazi and Faith No More. I remember in my pubescent years always thinking, whoever got to...
