Adam Jones of TOOL Joins PALMS Onstage at the Troubadour

by | Sep 23, 2014

It’s no secret that Palms (Deftones, ex-Isis) have close ties with the members of Tool. Not only did Isis tour with Tool back in 2006 on their 10,000 Days tour, but Palms drummer Aaron Harris also handles drum tech duties for them on the road. And of course you know all about Tool’s long-standing relationship with the Deftones.

Well, last night at the Troubadour in LA, Palms brought out Tool guitarist Adam Jones to join them onstage for the song “Shortwave Radio.” It’s pretty awesome.

Right now Palms are out on a string of West Coast/Southwest dates supporting their 2013 self-titled album. They’ll be meeting up with Boyfrndz in Albuquerque on Wednesday, who will be joining them for the remaining dates of the trek.

Here’s some footage from last night.

Palms tour dates w/ Boyfrndz:

Sep 24 Albuquerque, NM @ Launchpad
Sep 25 Lubbock, TX @ Jakes Backroom
Sep 26 Austin, TX @ Mohawk (Outside)
Sep 27 San Antonio @ Backstage Live
Sep 29 Houston, TX @ Scout Bar
Sep 30 Corpus Christi, TX @ Brewster St. Icehouse
Oct 02 El Paso, TX @ Tricky Falls
