TORCHE’s New Album “Restarter”…It’s Coming in Feb!

by | Nov 4, 2014

Remember that time when we interviewed Torche back in the day outside the Knitting Factory in Hollywood? That was when they had just come out with Meanderthal, and lots have changed since then. In fact, early next year the band will be putting out their fourth studio album, Restarter.

A follow-up to 2012’s Harmonicraft and their first album on Relapse, Restarter was recorded at Pinecrust Studio in Miami with their own Jonathan Nunez who produced the effort.

“Moving forward, leaning backwards, twisting sideways and loving every new release,” singer/guitarist Steve Brooks said about it.  “Restarter is moody and still very much a Torche record.”

We’re curious to hear what the new stuff sounds like. Until then, here’s a stream of Harmonicraft in full and a look at their upcoming schedule.

Restarter comes out on February 24th via Relapse.

Interview with Former Glassjaw Guitarist Todd Weinstock: Social Security, Afrobots, & GJ

I was listening to Glassjaw’s Worship and Tribute album a few weeks back, and thought to myself: what’s former guitarist Todd Weinstock been up to lately? Weinstock — who had been a member of Glassjaw from 1996 to 2004, and appeared on all releases from the...
