Hear a Teaser of New SUMAC (ex-ISIS, BAPTISTS)

by | Dec 2, 2014

A couple months ago we told you about Sumac, a new project featuring former Isis vocalist/guitarist Aaron Turner and Baptists drummer Nick Yacyshyn. They recently finished work on their debut album The Deal and it’s coming out in February.

The band will be playing their first show ever on Thursday at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver, BC where they’ll be opening for Deafheaven. Joining them on bass will be Brian Cook of Russian Circles, who tracked all the bass on the album. And while he’s not a permanent member of the group, he is expected to join them when he can for live performances.

Here’s a teaser for The Deal. It comes out on February 3rd via Profound Lore Records.
