COHEED AND CAMBRIA are Back in High School with “You Got Spirit, Kid” Music Video

by | Aug 20, 2015

In a couple months Coheed and Cambria will be releasing their first non-conceptual release called The Color Before The Sun. It’ll be the first record where frontman Claudio Sanchez exposes his raw feelings about the anxiety of fatherhood and the disorienting feeling of losing a home.

Today the band released a music video for their track “You Got Spirit, Kid.”

Sanchez said,

Our video for ‘You Got Spirit, Kid’ gave us a chance to showcase a relaxed side of the band’s personality. With our love for ‘80s nostalgia, we decided to approach the treatment in a John Hughes or Steven Spielberg type fashion, allowing the spirit of youth and camaraderie to shine in each frame.

Here’s the video.

The Color Before The Sun comes out October 9th through 300 Entertainment.
