LETLIVE: Looks Like their New Album is Coming this Summer

by | Feb 11, 2016

How’s that for summer jams? It does appear that the highly anticipated forthcoming record from letlive. will be out in June, or at least sometime this summer.

Titled If I’m the Devil…, the album will be a follow-up to 2013’s The Blackest Beautiful… and from what we’ve heard on the street, it’s a more advanced version of their rock/soul approach with acoustic parts, and even electronic elements.

Lots happening on the letlive front these days. Tomorrow they’ll be headlining the first night of Friends Fest — which, during their formative years, was a gathering with all their friends in bands. It’ll take place at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, and will serve as a benefit show for The Ghost Inside.

Then in March they’ll be heading out with The Wonder Years for a lengthy US tour.

And just because… here’s The Blackest Beautiful in full:

Scale The Summit: The Ryan’s Rock Show Interview

When Scale The Summit played Prosthetic Records their four song demo in 2006, the label had little interest in signing instrumental bands. “[Prosthetic] said word for word: ‘[we’ll] never sign an instrumental band,'” guitarist Chris Letchford...

Baroness Interview: John Baizley & Peter Adams on the Line Between Yellow & Green

When John Baizley and Peter Adams of Baroness were preteens, they played together in a band called Jab. “We would build stages from two-by-fours and plywood,” guitarist/vocalist Baizley says. “At that point, we hadn’t even seen shows except for...

FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES Interview with Brian Deneeve & Mike Pilato

Maybe there’s something in the air, but over the past few years we’ve seen a bunch of bands come back from the dead. From Autumn To Ashes are one of the most recent resurrectors, and they recently wrapped up a West Coast reunion tour where they played a...

I Am Abomination Interview on Ryan’s Rock Show

Months leading up to the death of Michael Jackson I went through this crazed MJ obsession where I couldn’t stop listening to “Dirty Diana”. Literally, I was smoking that song in my iPod for at least 60 days straight. So one day after his passing I...
