Maynard is in the studio recording vocals for Tool’s new album

by | Feb 20, 2017

That’s one step closer to the next Tool record. Last September bassist Justin Chancellor confirmed that a new album was really on the way. And now they’re in the studio working on vocals.

At least according to an update on the band’s official site:

In speaking with Danny last night, he told me that the band has temporarily MOVED some of their gear into a larger space (across town) where MAYNARD is working on VOCALS for some of the new Tool material. I’m sure that he has already been doing this to some extent, but now he has more room to breathe and a better vocal booth.

While we wait for new Tool music, we also have to point out that Maynard’s other band A Perfect Circle has also been working on new jams. They’re also going on tour this spring. So you’ll be seeing a lot of Maynard in 2017.
