According to Amazon, The Mars Volta will release a digital single for the track “The Malkin Jewel” on February 14th.
The band’s forthcoming record Noctourniquet is due out March 27th.

Bullet For My Valentine Entering Studio
Bullet For My Valentine will enter a Thailand studio next week to begin tracking their new album.
August Burns Red have plans to release a Christmas covers album next holiday season, according to a recent interview with the band on Ryan’s Rock Show.
In other news, the group have begun writing material for their next album, a follow-up to 2011’s Leveler.
Battles will issue Dross Glop 2, the second release in a four-part 12-inch remix series, on February 21st in North America.
The outing, comprised of remixed tracks from their latest album Glass Drop, will include “Futura (The Alchemist Remix),” “White Electric (Shabazz Palaces Remix),” and “Africastle (Kode9 Remix).”

Prong’s new album Carved Into Stone will be released on April 24th in North America through Long Branch Records/SPV.
The effort was produced by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die).
