Thrice have announced that they will go on hiatus following their spring 2012 tour.
Frontman Dustin Kensrue commented, “Thrice is not breaking up. If nothing has broken us up by now, I doubt anything ever could. However, we will be taking a break from being a full-time band, and the upcoming tour in the Spring will be the last one for the foreseeable future.
Periphery has entered the studio today to begin recording its next album.
Adam “Nolly” Getgood and Misha Mansoor will co-produce the effort.
Crosses (Deftones, Far) look to be lining up a string of performances in 2012, with the latest announcement of the band confirmed to play Lollapalooza Chile in March/April.
Currently set to perform two South American dates, the band’s itinerary follows:
Last Chance to Reason’s music video for “The Prototype” has premiered at GuitarWorld.com.
Crosses, featuring Deftones frontman Chino Moreno and Far guitarist Shaun Lopez, will make its live debut at Quilmes Rock 2012 in Buenos Aires, Argentina on April 3rd at Estadio River Plate.
Also on the festival’s bill: Foo Fighters, MGMT, Band Of Horses, amongst others.
