Arsonists Get All The Girls Set Fire to Bonnerhaus

by | Jan 14, 2013

“I’m always runner up!” shouts drummer Garin Rosen, throwing his red cards down on a shoddy wooden table. It’s a rainy Saturday night in North Hollywood and Arsonists Get All The Girls are crowded in the living room of Bonnerhaus playing Apples to Apples. A couple hours ago the band wrapped up a top secret live session, and now they’re winding down with cases of beer and Blue Dream. “Always runner up, dude!” he exclaims again, adjusting his bomber hat.

While Rosen may not be on fire with party games, his Santa Cruz deathcore outfit Arsonists Get All The Girls have been setting music communities worldwide ablaze for years. Currently in the studio with Zack Ohren (All Shall Perish) tracking a follow-up record to 2011’s Motherland (expected out in spring), AGATG insist their new material is highly inflammable.

“It’s something we’re really excited about,” said Rosen.

Before getting holed up in the studio, the band stopped in for an intimate house party. And of course, we got it all on tape.

Periphery Interview: Music Philosophy, The Next Album, & Haunted Shores

It’s Friday night in West Hollywood, and Periphery guitarist Alex Bois just picked up an unexpected souvenir. “We got a $100 ticket [for parking on Sunset Blvd],” he exclaims. “But it’s ok, it’s Friday night and we’re here in Hollywood.” Perhaps optimism like this is...

Le Butcherettes Interview: The Beginnings, Next Album, & Deftones / Dillinger Tour

Le Butcherettes frontwoman Teri Gender Bender has little patience for unenthusiastic crowds, especially ones in Arizona. Hesitant to play the band’s Mesa show on their recent stint with Deftones, Gender Bender, raised in Mexico from age 14, made it a point to...

DEAD LETTER CIRCUS Interview with Kim Benzie & Clint “Vinnie” Vincent

It’s been a while since we’ve talked with Dead Letter Circus. Five years to be exact. Back when we did our previous interview with the Australian band, they had just started touring in the States, and were trekking across the country with a bunch of metal...
