A few Ryan’s Rock Show updates

by | Oct 2, 2012

Hello friends –

I wanted to fill you all in on what’s been happening with Ryan’s Rock Show recently, and why a new interview hasn’t been posted since Between the Buried and Me a month ago.

September was one of the craziest months of my life, filled with extreme highs and unexpected turbulence. In a nutshell: we had a series of awesome interviews lined up, but for whatever reason, they all fell through — literally minutes before they were supposed to go down. I also had a death in the family, which created some major bumps in the road. But perhaps the biggest reason why a new interview hasn’t been posted is because I’ve been working on launching a new section to Ryan’s Rock Show called “Live at Bonnerhaus” — something in the works for a while that I’m really excited for!

If you’re a regular RRS reader, you should already be familiar with Bonnerhaus, our home/studio in North Hollywood. Over the past couple months my two housemates and I did some ridiculous renovations and turned our place into a DIY music venue. We spent weeks sewing curtains & knocking down walls, and we invited some of our favorite bands over to do intimate house shows. And we filmed them all in HD. What’s really cool is that Ryan’s Rock Show readers will be the first to score tickets to see some of your favorite bands in an intimate setting (our capacity is 97). But more on that later.

Here’s a picture after we knocked out our garage wall.

To sum everything up:

– More interviews coming (we’re slowly phasing into HD).
– News will be posted everyday as usual.
– Live at Bonnerhaus coming soon.
