Cancer Bats are Recording their New Album with Ross Robinson

by | Jun 23, 2014

Cancer Bats frontman Liam Cormier may have been one of the funnest dudes we’ve ever interviewed. When we sat down with him last year he told us about the early days of the band, and how Alexisonfire helped them get their first record deal. “They said ‘we’re gonna get you signed to our label’” — and they did!  “Well, I guess we’re in a band now!” he said.

If you look at the picture above, you can see Cormier giving a thumbs up — we’re assuming it’s not just because of the food, but because they’re hanging out with the world renowned producer Ross Robinson (who’s all the way in the back on the left). Robinson has signed on to produce the band’s upcoming album, a follow up to 2012’s Dead Set on Living.

They’ve been in the studio with Robinson tracking what will be their fifth studio album. Can we expect a release later in the year?

Here’s a stream of Dead Set on Living in full.
