Cannibal Corpse Guitarist to Fill In for Slayer

by | Mar 30, 2011

Cannibal Corpse guitarist Pat O’Brien will fill in for Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman on the band’s European tour, beginning the April 6 date in Croatia.

In February, Hanneman was forced to sit out immediate touring plans, after being diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, a rare skin infection also known as flesh-eating disease. He has since been temporarily replaced with Exodus guitarist Gary Holt, who will play his last fill in show with the band on April 4 in Padova, Italy.

Hanneman is expected to make a full recovery.
