Carnifex on Hiatus; December SoCal Shows Announced

by | Oct 9, 2012

Carnifex will go on hiatus following a string of Southern California shows in December.

Vocalist Scott Lewis stated, “As of now, Carnifex is in a state of suspended animation. The reasons for this are many and complicated. Let me be clear in saying that Shawn, Cory, Ryan, Fred and I are all still members of Carnifex. Let me also be clear in saying that although the future is very uncertain, I can say with optimism, that this is not farewell, but rather, until we meet again. Carnifex is now retreating into the obscurity we once came from. Be certain that us as individuals and as band mates have a true love for this band. Our desire to create our brand of art and music has never been about trends or money. These things will not decide our future.”

The band’s December itinerary follows:

Dec 21 San Diego, CA @ SOMA Mainstage
Dec 22 Anaheim, CA @ Chain Reaction
Dec 23 Hollywood, CA @ The Whiskey

Interview: Bevan Davies & Kyle Sanders Tell the Story of MonstrO

In the early 2000s when MonstrO drummer Bevan Davies moved to LA with his band Comes With The Fall, one of the group’s first-ever fans was Alice in Chains mastermind Jerry Cantrell. “When we had a show…[Cantrell] would come out and do encores with us on...

FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES Interview with Brian Deneeve & Mike Pilato

Maybe there’s something in the air, but over the past few years we’ve seen a bunch of bands come back from the dead. From Autumn To Ashes are one of the most recent resurrectors, and they recently wrapped up a West Coast reunion tour where they played a...
