Deafheaven have had an impressive run since the release of the 2013 album Sunbather. When we interviewed them earlier this year the band said all of their success came pretty unexpected. Looking back on it now, who could have imagined that their 2010 demo was recorded out of boredom?
Moving into 2015, Deafheaven are at work on a new record. The band will be releasing their third studio album sometime next year, a follow-up to Sunbather.
We don’t know too much about it yet, but in August the band released a new track called “From the Kettle Onto the Coil” as part of the Adult Swim singles series. Presumably that will appear on the effort.
Here’s a stream of the track.
