Deftones are Already Thinking About Another Album

by | Feb 10, 2014

Since we mentioned Quicksand’s Walter Schreifels in our last post, we have to retell his story about the first time he saw Deftones. “I just thought [Deftones] sounded like a Rage Against The Machine-type thing; I didn’t check it out too much [until they invited us on tour]. Then I saw them and was like ‘fuck man, I’m done with heavy music — these guys are taking it to another level.’ ”

Taking it to another level is something Deftones are able to do with every album it seems. Did you hear the new ††† (Crosses) record yet that comes out tomorrow?

Anyway, Chino Moreno talked to Rolling Stone recently and said that Deftones are already thinking about a new album. They hope to reconvene sometime this month just to hang out, and plan to begin writing full force early next year.

Stoked is an understatement.
