Dust Moth (These Arms Are Snakes, Minus the Bear) to Release their Debut EP, “Dragon Mouth”

by | Jan 27, 2014

We love ourselves some These Arms Are Snakes. And of course we’re keen to their cousin bands Narrows, Russian Circles, Crypts, and so on.

The latest addition to their extended family is Dust Moth, featuring ex-TAAS guitarist Ryan Frederiksen and ex-Minus The Bear keyboardist (and renowned producer) Matt Bayles. Remember when we posted about them a few months ago about their split release with Æges called Bad Blood?

Anyway, Dust Moth are putting out their debut EP, Dragon Mouth, on March 25th via The Mylene Sheath. Here’s a song from it called “Casual Friends” (thanks BrooklynVegan).

Thrice: The Ryan’s Rock Show Interview

During the band’s infancy in the late 90s, Thrice would perform at any shows they could get. “We played at a SeaWorld [parking lot],” guitarist Teppei Teranishi laughs, speaking candidly in the green room of Los Angeles’ Mayan Theater....
