FRAMEWORKS to Release New Album “Smother” + New Song

by | May 5, 2016

Oh shit! Frameworks inked a deal with Deathwish earlier this year, and you know what? Their label debut has just been given a release date.

The band’s forthcoming record is called Smother. It was recorded with Matt McClellan (Being As An Ocean, O’Brother) at Glow In The Dark Studios and mastered by Brad Boatright (Converge, Self Defense Family, etc) at Audiosiege Mastering. It serves as a follow-up to their 2014 album Loom and the two-song Time Spent EP released earlier this year.

This is their new song “Tangled.”

Vocalist Luke Pate said,

“Tangled” was written about overthinking and how it sometimes, especially with music, can impassion the outcome. The song started off as a thought experiment inspired by a line from one of Seneca’s books. “There is no person so severely punished, as those who subject themselves to the whip of their own remorse.”

Smother comes out July 8th.
