LE BUTCHERETTES: Omar Rodriguez Lopez to Produce New Album; Iggy Pop & John Frusciante to Guest

by | Jun 16, 2015

Well that’s pretty cool. Lots happening on the Le Butcherettes front, including a new album that, as you can see, will include some wild guest appearances. Their new record is called A Raw Youth and it’s due out late this summer.

Right now Le Butcherettes are on the road supporting The Melvins, which will run all through July. Then they’ll be gearing up to release A Raw Youth on September 18th through Ipecac Recordings.

The album will serve as a follow up to 2014’s Cry Is For The Flies. The band will once again be joined by The Mars Volta mastermind Omar Rodriguez-Lopez at the production helm, who produced all of their albums thus far. Omar has tapped his buddies Iggy Pop and John Frusciante (ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers) to lend some additional talents to the mix.
