Mogwai to Party Like it’s 1999 with their Come On Die Young Reissue

You can’t really go wrong with Mogwai these days; and you couldn’t go wrong with them 15 years ago. Are you ready to party like it’s 1999? Good ’cause they’ll be putting out a reissue of their ’99 record Come On Die Young, and it’s loaded with a bunch of bonus material.

The band will be putting out the reissue on June 16th via Chemikal Underground as a 4xLP box set, 2xCD, and digital download. It’ll feature over an hour of bonus material including a bunch of unreleased tracks.

Here’s a stream of an early version of their track “Ex-Cowboy,” along with details of what’s in the Come On Die Young reissue.

  • Previously unreleased takes from early Chem19 sessions of ‘Waltz For Aidan’, ‘Christmas Steps’, ‘Rollerball’ and ‘7-25’ which featured on ‘Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait’.
  • Seven remixed and remastered album tracks from CAVA sessions pre-dating the final Tarbox recording sessions.
  • Two previously unreleased tracks ‘Satchel Panzer’ and ‘Spoon Test’.
