by | Mar 24, 2014

We’re saddened to hear about the passing of GWAR frontman David Brockie, known to the world as Oderus Urungus. Brockie was found dead at his home on Sunday in Richmond, VA by one of his bandmates. He was 50.

Not too many details about his death have been revealed,  but Richmond Police say they don’t suspect foul play. A full autopsy will be performed.

GWAR manager Jack Flanagan issued a statement saying, “My main focus right now is to look after my band mates and his family.”

One of the first interviews we ever conducted here at Ryan’s Rock Show was with Brockie back in 2007 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. Oderus Urungus forced us to drink Stella Artois and opened up to us about his distaste for planet Earth and its celebrities. You can check that out here.
