This reimagined STRAWBERRY GIRLS song is 10x more intense

by | Jan 31, 2017

Sometimes things just need an upgrade. That’s what Strawberry Girls are doing with Italian Ghosts. It’s a re-recorded version of their 2011 EP of the same name. Except way more intense.

Guitarist Zachary Garren explained the reason for re-recording it:

“When we originally recorded it, along with the rest of the original Italian Ghosts album, we played with less distortion and less energy. Over time, our live shows got more aggressive and energetic, and the recordings didn’t really hold up to what we became.”

“We talked about possibly re-recording the song for fun, or an EP maybe, but we ended up deciding to re-record the whole original Italian Ghosts album to make it sound like the band we are now.”

Did we mention that there are four brand new songs also on the record? And on their upcoming shows there’s a good chance you’ll see them performed live.

In a couple weeks the band will be doing a pair of post-Valentine’s day shows with The Body Rampant and So Much Light. February 16th they’ll be at the Slide Bar in Fullerton; February 17th they’ll be in LA at the Hi Hat.

Here’s the reimagined version of “Black Night, Golden Circus.”

Italian Ghosts comes out February 17th through Tragic Hero.
