Stream a Re-Recorded Version of From First To Last’s “Note to Self” with Spencer Sotelo on Vox

by | May 14, 2014

It sure did take the community by surprise when Periphery vocalist Spencer Sotelo joined From First To Last. The band, who successfully crowdfunded over $25,000 to record their new EP, announced last month that Sotelo would be handling all the vocals on the band’s upcoming release. The frontman said later that he’s just making music with some friends and is still a full-time member of Periphery.

Do you remember when we sat down with FFTL back in 2007? The band talked candidly about their early days and how Sonny Moore (aka Skrillex) joined the band.

Interestingly, the group re-recorded their song “Note to Self” that originally featured Moore, which is taken from their debut album Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count. This year marks a decade since the record’s release.

Here’s the remake along with the original. Which do you prefer?
