THE USED to Play Self-Titled Album & “In Love and Death” in Entirety on 15th Anniversary Tour

by | Nov 17, 2015

Can you believe they’ve been around for 15 years? To celebrate, The Used will be going on a lengthy US tour in spring 2016 where they’ll play both their self-titled album and In Love and Death from front to back.

The band will be performing two nights in each of the 16 cities they’ll be stopping in — playing a separate album each show.

In addition to the upcoming tour, they’re putting out a live CD/DVD titled Live and Acoustic at The Palace. The album was recorded at the band’s intimate unplugged storyteller performance last month at The Palace Theater in Los Angeles.

Bert McCracken said,

I think we really captured the night perfectly and listening back to the mixes it reminded me how music can allow us to be children once again and once you open yourself up to that emotion it’s like a virus, it’s contagious. Nearly every eye in the venue was weepy the night we played with the orchestra because these songs are so emotional and this recording is a truly special thing that I can’t wait for everyone to hear. It still gives me goose bumps.

Live and Acoustic at The Palace comes out on April 1st.

Here’s a stream of In Love and Death in full, just because.
