Torche Signed to Relapse; Their New Album is Expected Out in Summer

by | Feb 5, 2014

The first time we interviewed Torche in 2009, the band responded to Andy Williams of Every Time I Die and how he said they were like the next wave of Nirvana. A big compliment, that’s for sure.

Torche have been at work writing material for a new album, and in addition to that, just inked a deal with Relapse Records. We don’t know too much about the upcoming release yet, but they’re holed away at Pinecrust Studio in Miami with their own Jonathan Nunez producing the effort. We also got wind that Converge’s Kurt Ballou will be handling mixing duties.

A follow-up to 2012’s Harmonicraft, the record is expected out sometime this summer. We’ll keep you in the loop.
